With leather case in poor condition. The catalog would have listed this as a 4088-3S for the leather case. Serial number 146268.

Manufactured around 1927, based on serial number. The cursor is a replacement from the 1934-7 time period ("Patent Pending" legend)

Introduced in 1913, the Polyphase Duplex turned out to be a very popular slide rule for the company; they eventually released it in four sizes, 5", 8", 10" and 20". In 1939, this was replaced by the 4070 and 4071
