With clear plastic tube case and instruction sheets. The Moonstick is is a six-scale hexagonal slide rule capable of returning moon phase information in the period 6999 BC through AD 10999. An inside surface reports DATE CODE 4319 as the date of manufacture. Probably in 2004. Shrug.

The inventor, Sean Barton, claims a setting time of at most 35 seconds. I find the scales a little sticky, requiring some more time than that to get the accuracy he claims, but you can certainly get a good reading in 35 seconds. (I love this thing. It looks like a very complex multi-function magic wand!)
