Similar to the model 1004, the 1003 adds three H scales for computing Pythagorean triangles and includes 2 square root scales and 3 cube root scales in place of the A/B and K scales.

Subscript numbers on the scales refer to the exponent applied to the input from the C/D scales. A subscript of 1 indicates that you are using 1-10 from C/D, a subscript of -2 indicates .001-.01. s_-1r_-1t_-1 means "sine/radians/tangent" and is the ST scale. Inverse indexes are provided on sine and tangent scales. I don't know what the -1 superscript on the lg scale means. lg₁^-1 is just the L scale.

The ln scales on the upper body are for negative exponents.

CF/DF scales break at sqrt(10).
