With soft case and padded hardcase. The calculator has some glass parts, so use both!
This unit is intended to rest on an overhead projector, to aid in instructing elementary school kids in the use of the TI-12 Math Explorer. I showed the unit to my wife who was immediately incredulous that gradeschoolers need to be taught how to use a calculator. (Of course, when we were that age, having a calculator was "cheating". So, of course we learned quickly how to use one. I suppose kids these days have to be dragged kicking and screaming. "Da, I don't wanna use a calculator, I wanna use the 'puter!" Alas.)
The keys are touch sensitive, and the unit is powered via a solar cell (which, perhaps oddly, is on the side away from the projector's lamp; it doesn't require much light to operate, though).
