From Wiki
Texas Instruments TI-58/59 Math/Utilities Module
- Type: Optional Calculator Accessory
- Size: 5/8 x 3/4 inch / 1.6 x 2 cm
A more technically mathematical set of applications than found in the Master Library. Also a lot of routines to support a printer cradle (the only possible outlet for alphabetic text).
Applications:
- Module Check
- Prompter (prompts output on printer)
- Alpha Messages (easy way to type messages to the printer)
- Printer Formatting
- Superplotter
- Sorting (from the manual: "Quickly orders a list of up to 99 elements using an advanced technique known as the Shell sort.")
- Data Arrays (manipulate rows)
- Data Packing (Pack data into "pseudo-registers" for increased storage)
- Prime Factors
- Hyperbolic Functions
- Gamma/Factorial
- Random Numbers
- Normal Distribution
- Interpolation (Aitken's method for polynomials)
- Roots of Function (Newton's method)
- Minimax (minima and maxima of function)
- Romberg Integration
- Differential Equations (fourth order Runga-Kutta)
- Discrete Fourier Series
- Calculator Status (for storing a setup)
- Variable Arithmetic
